The Crew

began a love of film & photography 8 years ago when her photograph of Ramsgate's 'Ship Shape was awarded a merit and received coverage in a national art magazine. This in turn inspired her continuation which placed her in the Cultural Centre in Kent & numerous exhibitions from Margate's Art Centre to London's Tate Modern with Kate Whitereed, & has since held international gallery installations and had films featured in Amsterdam where alicia studied European Art & partticipated at IDFA, (International Documentary Film of Amsterdam) & a recent award winning documentary, 'Mum's on the Run' credited on  Imdb &  is featured at the 'Open Door Festival 2016. This film is where alicia was subject and author having  spent 9 months at a womens refuge with her daughter & filmed the experience. Mum's on the Run is soon to be turned into a feature

documentary.

Having lived in the Middle East for 5 years, Alicia's perspective & experiences are reflected in her art and films.  Having been brought up in Margate, known as a famous british seaside resort, now home for many refugee institutions which have developed Margate into a culturally diverse area., This has impacted on its population & when Alicia returns to visit old friends and family it inspires and influences alicia's work in new & innovative ways which can be seen in not only the 'From Margate to the Middle East Exhibition  where her installation raised some excitment with a replica of the wailing wall made from Matza, unleavened bread with the writing God Woz Ere. Alicia's unique style  and creativity combined with excellent training will take her to the next level with the films in production.

Additionally her daughter Milli having been around all this creativity has brought Alicia and Milli together on many filmmaking ventures. As a Mother and daughter team they work well with a superb combination of concepts.... watch this space...
